Our story

Homestead Butchering is a small, family-run butcher shop.

The barn burned in 2024 and Homestead Butchering was founded in 2025. John, the shop owner, moved to the farm from the Hammer Creek house while the new shop was being built.

The shop opened in late August 2025 and received its inspection license in October.

When a fire struck the Mountain Man Butcher Shop, we welcomed them in to finish their orders as they closed their business, and through working together we learned a higher level of expertise which we continue to work by to bring you safe quality meat.

We do custom and USDA-inspected slaughter and packaging.
